Privacy Policy
This Policy explains the information practices intended for Sugar Daddy Seattle, including what may be collected, why it may be used, and the choices available to members.
1. Scope and who is responsible
This Privacy Policy describes how the entity operating Sugar Daddy Seattle (“Sugar Daddy Seattle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) may collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit sugardaddyseattle.com, create or use an account, communicate with members, contact support, purchase a feature, participate in verification, or otherwise interact with our websites and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
This Policy applies to visitors, prospective members, current members, and former members. It does not govern information collected directly by another member or a third-party service operating under its own privacy policy. The current website is a static demonstration: its displayed contact, newsletter, login, and signup forms do not transmit information to a production database until the operator connects those forms to a service provider.
2. Personal information we may collect
The information collected depends on how you use the Service and which features are enabled. Categories may include:
- Account and contact data: name or alias, email address, telephone number, password hash, birth date or age confirmation, ZIP code, city, and account identifiers.
- Profile and preference data: photographs, biography, gender, dating preferences, interests, occupation, education, lifestyle information, approximate location, availability, and the relationship qualities you choose to describe.
- Communications: messages sent through the Service, support requests, reports, survey responses, feedback, and other content you provide.
- Verification and safety data: where enabled, selfie images or video, identity-document details, age or identity verification results, fraud signals, moderation decisions, block lists, and reports concerning conduct.
- Transaction data: where paid features are enabled, subscription status, purchase history, billing country, transaction identifiers, limited payment-card metadata, and communications concerning refunds or disputes. Full card details should be processed by a payment provider rather than stored by us.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser, operating system, device identifiers, language, referring pages, pages viewed, clicks, session dates, approximate location derived from IP, error logs, and security events.
- Cookie and analytics data: cookie identifiers, attribution data, advertising preferences, and information about how the Service is used.
3. Sources of information
We may collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from other members who report an interaction, and from service providers that support authentication, fraud prevention, identity verification, moderation, analytics, payments, customer support, or infrastructure. We may also receive publicly available information when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, impersonation, intellectual-property misuse, or serious safety concerns.
4. How we may use personal information
We may use information for the following business and operational purposes:
- create, authenticate, maintain, and personalize accounts and profiles;
- display profiles and help members discover potentially relevant connections;
- deliver messages, account notices, security alerts, support, and requested features;
- process purchases, subscriptions, cancellations, refunds, and billing records where paid features are offered;
- verify age or identity where enabled and help detect fake profiles, spam, scams, abuse, and unauthorized account access;
- moderate content, investigate reports, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect members, staff, and the public;
- measure performance, troubleshoot errors, understand use patterns, improve accessibility, and develop new features;
- send service communications and, with any consent required by law, promotional messages that you may opt out of;
- comply with legal obligations, respond to valid process, prevent imminent harm, establish or defend legal claims, and maintain appropriate records; and
- create aggregated or de-identified statistics that are not reasonably linked to an individual.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where laws such as the European Economic Area or United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation apply, we rely on one or more legal bases: performing a contract with you; taking steps you request before entering a contract; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and enforcing the Service; complying with legal obligations; protecting vital interests; and consent for processing that legally requires it. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing already completed or processing supported by another lawful basis.
6. Profile visibility and information shared with members
Dating services are designed to share selected profile information. Depending on privacy settings, other members may see your alias, photographs, age, general area, interests, biography, preferences, activity indicators, and other information you choose to publish. Messages are visible to their recipients. Treat anything shared with another member as information that person could save, photograph, copy, or redistribute.
Do not publish a home address, precise real-time location, workplace details, school schedule, financial credentials, identity documents, passwords, one-time codes, or information that would expose another person without permission. We cannot control the independent conduct of members after information is shared with them.
7. Identity, selfie, and biometric verification
If identity or selfie verification is introduced, we may collect a government-issued identification document, selfie image or video, device and timestamp metadata, and a verification result. A specialist vendor may compare a selfie with an identification image, assess liveness, detect fraud, or estimate whether age requirements are met. Depending on the technology and applicable law, this process may involve biometric identifiers or biometric information.
Before collecting biometric information, we will provide any notice and obtain any consent required by law. Verification data will be used for identity, age assurance, fraud prevention, account recovery, safety, and enforcement—not to infer personality, attractiveness, health, ethnicity, or other unrelated traits. Production retention periods and vendors must be disclosed before the feature is launched.
8. Automated systems and moderation
We may use automated systems to identify spam, stolen images, suspicious account patterns, prohibited words, harassment, fraud, or safety risks. Automated signals may prioritize content for human review or temporarily limit an account. We should not rely solely on automated decisions when applicable law requires meaningful human review. Members may contact support to question a significant enforcement decision.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies, local storage, pixels, software development kits, and similar technologies may be used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure sessions, prevent fraud, measure performance, understand traffic, and support marketing where permitted. Some are necessary for the Service; others may be optional analytics, personalization, or advertising technologies.
You can control cookies through browser settings and, where available, our consent controls. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent account or security features from working. Before production analytics or advertising tools are enabled, this section and any cookie banner must list the applicable categories and vendors. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not uniformly defined; where legally required, we will recognize applicable opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
10. How information may be disclosed
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
- Other members and the public: for profile information and content you choose to make visible.
- Service providers: to vendors performing hosting, security, analytics, email, customer support, moderation, identity verification, fraud prevention, payment processing, or professional services under appropriate contractual restrictions.
- Affiliate and dating partners: when you choose a registration or account link that redirects to an independent dating service. The destination service may receive the affiliate identifier contained in the link, along with ordinary request information such as referral URL, device or browser data, IP address, and the time of the click. Information you enter after arriving on the partner website is collected directly under that partner’s privacy policy.
- Legal and safety disclosures: when required by law, subpoena, court order, or lawful government request, or when reasonably necessary to prevent imminent harm, investigate fraud, protect rights and safety, or enforce agreements.
- Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of assets, subject to lawful safeguards and notice where required.
- With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share information or authorize an integration.
- Aggregated information: where information has been combined or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably identify you.
We do not intend to sell personal information for money. If future advertising or analytics practices constitute “selling,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable state privacy law, we will provide required notice and opt-out controls before those practices begin.
We may receive a commission if an eligible visitor registers or purchases through an affiliate link. We do not receive the password you create on the partner platform or complete payment-card details collected directly by that partner unless its policy and the applicable transaction expressly state otherwise.
11. Payments
If paid features are offered, payments should be processed by an independent payment provider. The provider may collect card number, security code, billing address, and other details under its privacy policy. We may receive a payment token, card brand and last digits, billing country, transaction amount, purchase status, and fraud or dispute data. We may share account and service-use records with payment providers, banks, or collection professionals when reasonably necessary to resolve a payment dispute or collect a lawful balance.
12. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Retention depends on the type of information, account status, safety and fraud risks, contractual needs, backup cycles, legal obligations, limitation periods, and whether the information is needed to resolve a dispute.
After an account is deleted, profile information should be removed from active member view within a reasonable period. We may retain limited records to prevent repeat fraud or abuse, honor blocks, document consent, comply with accounting or legal obligations, respond to law enforcement, and establish or defend claims. Backups may persist until overwritten through normal cycles. Production-specific retention periods must be documented before launch.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information. These may include encryption in transit, access controls, credential hashing, monitoring, vendor review, staff confidentiality requirements, backups, and incident-response procedures. No service can guarantee absolute security, and you use the Internet at your own risk.
Use a unique password, enable multifactor authentication if offered, protect your email account, and report suspected compromise promptly. We will provide legally required notice if a data breach creates a qualifying risk to your rights.
14. International processing
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our vendors operate. Those locations may have privacy laws different from your home jurisdiction. Where required, we will use approved transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards for international transfers. The final operator and hosting architecture must be identified before production processing begins.
15. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to processing, withdrawal of consent, and information about categories of data, purposes, sources, and recipients. Residents of certain U.S. states may also have rights to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling, and to appeal a denied request.
To exercise a right, submit a request through our contact page. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request, we will explain available appeal options when required.
16. Account and communication choices
You may update certain account information and privacy settings through the Service when those controls are available. You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message, but we may still send nonpromotional communications about accounts, security, purchases, legal notices, and support. You may request account deletion, subject to necessary retention described above.
17. Information about minors
The Service is strictly limited to adults age 20 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from people under 20. If you believe a person under 20 has created an account or submitted information, stop interacting with that person and contact us immediately. We may preserve and report relevant information when necessary to protect a young person or comply with law.
18. Third-party websites and member conduct
The Service may link to third-party websites, applications, payment providers, verification services, or social platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for information you voluntarily give another member or move to an off-platform service. Review privacy settings and avoid sharing sensitive information until trust is established.
19. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service, vendors, technology, or law changes. The effective date at the top will identify the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the Service, email, or another appropriate method before taking effect when required. Your continued use after the effective date means the revised Policy applies, subject to any consent required by law.
20. Contact and complaints
Privacy requests, questions, complaints, and security concerns may be submitted through our contact form. Before launch, this section must be updated with the operator’s legal name, mailing address, dedicated privacy email, and—if applicable—data-protection officer or regional representative details.
If you are located in a jurisdiction that provides a right to complain to a privacy regulator, you may contact the regulator where you live or work. We encourage you to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve the concern.
